Zulu Plate Cappuccino D14cm

Honouring African traditions and South African craftsmanship, this wire plate - part of As'Art's Zulu collection - is the result of the delicate braiding of falling telephone wires and copper wires. A form of craftsmanship marking the transition between the use of traditional materials (e.g palm leaves and dried herbs) and industrial ones, with the development of urbanisation, the weaving of the telephone wire echoes an ancestral know-how Zulu, whose tribe still represents 20% of the South African population.

This is the dark brown beige variant. The plates are also available in mustard, rust, and blue; and dark blue.
